Party Packages

It’s always a challenge. Are you going to have your party at a “place” or do you do it at home? On the one hand, it’s very nice to go to a place and have a party. Well, it’s nice not to have to do all of the set-up and all of the clean-up. However, the cost to have a party at a “party place” can start adding up. Prices range at the various party places depending on the venue. Some places, you have to rent out the whole place while others have multiple parties going on at the same time and that brings cost down.

You have to consider how many people are coming? You have to consider the time it takes to set-up and clean-up. Now, some people thoroughly enjoy the set-up and the planning. For those people, home might be the best option or a place where you can go in and set-up your own theme. You know that you can rent out ball rooms at hotels for surprisingly little money on the weekends. Often they have audio and catering. They usually cater to the business crowds during the week so you might be able to get a deal on the weekend… that’s if you love the idea of setting up… but not the clean-up as much.

If you’re on a timeline, it’s always a good idea to do the party out. Most places do a great job of keeping the party moving. Now, they’re doing this because they’re a business and they have to keep the business coming in the door (which requires you to get out the door!). The downside to many venues is that it’s hard to stay in theme but it is possible. Balloons, decorated cakes or something like the pinata to the right all help keep the party in theme. For my son, if there’s no car, there’s no party. In his mind, the car is the party. It is very entertaining watching him interact with cars. You would think they were members of the family. He’s only two at this point but he says goodbye to the cars and sometimes good night!

There are many choices. We’ve done full themed parties at the house and rented out a local venue for a party. I can tell you that the children had fun at both. At the end of the day, that’s the point… that the kids have fun and honestly, they don’t require that much to have fun. Usually a cake, some presents, other kids, maybe some bubbles or a slip’n’slide…  but they will have fun especially if you’ve been getting them excited about it all week!
